Why this exists
Aviation regulation is the most consequential bureaucracy in the world. Twelve thousand standards govern every commercial flight. The system is largely invisible to the public, opaque to most pilots, and only properly understood by the small group of professionals who work inside it.
That is a problem. The industry is changing — drones, commercial space, electric propulsion, automated decision-making — and the regulatory frameworks built in 1944 are being asked to govern things their authors could not have imagined. The people closest to that work need a place to think out loud, and the people downstream of it deserve a way to follow along.
Aviation Affair is that place.
What you will find here

Editorial standards
Every claim should be checkable. Every Annex citation includes the edition. Every regulatory reference names the exact part. When something is opinion — and there is plenty of opinion here — it is labeled as such. When something is uncertain, it is labeled as such.
Aviation Affair does not publish promotional content. There are no sponsored posts, no affiliate links, no advertorial. The site is funded by the work of its authors, not by advertisers seeking access to its readers.
