I build Aviation Affair in my free time. After a long career in aviation, I
simply wanted to create a space that makes this fascinating field a little
easier to understand. Before you dive in, I want to be completely transparent
about what this site is—and what it isn't.
This is a personal space
Every article, tutorial, and video here reflects my own personal views, my
interpretation of the regulations, and my firsthand experience. This site is
entirely independent. I'm not affiliated with, endorsed by, or speaking on
behalf of any government agency, civil aviation authority, employer, or
organization. When I share an opinion, it's just me talking.
It isn't official guidance
I love writing about ICAO Annexes, the Chicago Convention, and national
regulations because I find them genuinely fascinating and want to help make
sense of them. But please remember, nothing on this site is official. It should
never replace the real thing.
Aviation rules are constantly evolving, and the absolute truth always lives with
the official sources—whether that's ICAO, your national authority (like
GACA, the FAA, or EASA), or your specific operator manuals. Always check the
current, official text before acting on anything you read here.
